‘Having grown up in a working class community riven with poverty and racism, I know that changing hearts and minds on the environment is our biggest challenge in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis and deepening inequality,’ explains Asad, who will look at how to meet this challenge when political consensus on climate is broken by political forces seeking to divide communities. He will explore this in dialogue with Caroline Lucas (via an online appearance), Compass co-chair, Kate Pickett, Uni. of York, and the audience.
