Curious & Creative Gardening Tour: Resilient Practices & Repurposing in the Museum Gardens

The Gardens team will lead up to 20 people per tour, exploring initiatives and interventions made to introduce resilient practices and repurpose household items, including rainwater capture, the value of leaf mulch & composting, right plants for right environment, building climate change resilience, and repurposing household waste (e.g. some single use plastics).

Suited to people aged 12+ with an interest in making green spaces more resilient and re-purposing waste.

Meet on the hard standing in front of the entrance to the Yorkshire Museum.

As a charity, York Museums Trust opens the gardens free of charge. As we open York Museum Gardens we ask anyone who enjoys the gardens to consider donating to the charity, to help York Museums Trust continue to maintain such a fantastic space for generations to come.
