DESCRIPTION:North York Church are hosting a series of events across York as part of York Environment Weeks. There are a wide range of activities over a number of sites—talks\, upcycling workshops\, nature trails\, a Repair Café\, a Reflection Space and Lego Church. \nSo much to do and something for everyone! \nMany events are drop-in: just turn up and see what’s going on. \nSome workshops have limited space: please use the Eventbrite links below to book free tickets to the events you wish to attend. \nCome along to St Nicholas’ Church\, Wigginton between 11:00 and 16:30 on Saturday 21st September and take part in one of these activities: \n  \n\n\nDrop-in: Second hand clothing with Community Bees\n\n11:00 – 16:30\n\nCommunity Bees are running a second-hand and end-of-line clothing giveaway at the Sustainable Fashion Hub. Give fast fashion the elbow by wearing preloved clothing! \nWhile you are there\, check out the information boards on fast fashion to get some top tips on greening your wardrobe. Children must be accompanied by an adult. \n  \n\n\nWorkshops: Upcycled hair scrunchies\n\n11:00 – 11:50 (for ages 12 – 16 only)\n12:30 – 13:20 (open to all – young children must be accompanied by an adult)\n14:30 – 15:20 – (open to all – young children must be accompanied by an adult)\n\nElevate your outfit and your hair with your very own hand made High-Vis Scrunchie. Turn textiles destined for landfill into an eye-catching\, practical fashion essential. Wear them on your arms for the perfect summer accessory! High-Vis Clothing is notoriously difficult to recycle.
