DESCRIPTION:A popular walk around Bishophill\, looking at ‘weeds’ growing in untended and unintended places.\nWhat are weeds? Unwelcome outsiders or resilient and adaptable organisms? Should we be concerned about the spraying of herbicides on our streets? What is their value to humans and insects? \nWe’ll have a slow short walk around Bishophill and get to know some of the plants and enjoy their interesting common names: fairy foxgloves anyone? \nBooking is required for this event. To book please email laurapotts@phonecoop.coop \nSuitable for ages 12+. \nAny donations made at this event will be given to Pesticides Action Network UK. \nFor accessibility purposes\, please consider that streets/pavements/alleys travelled during the walk may be uneven.
