DESCRIPTION:Pop in to our free coffee morning to chat to two local GPs about how to find out if you are at risk of cardiovascular disease\, and what lifestyle changes you can make to prevent it. \nAs part of the Greener Practice York & North Yorkshire network we recognise the importance of providing healthcare that is good for patients and the planet. Preventative medicine can reduce waste & the impact of medications on the environment. Social prescribing can encourage connection to nature\, and help with physical & emotional wellness. \nMany adults in York have hidden high blood pressure\, diabetes\, or kidney problems; these are often preventable or reversable. So\, come for a free cuppa and chat to expert GPs about how to find out your numbers\, and what lifestyle changes you could make to improve your physical & mental health. Patients/non-patients all welcome! \nNo booking required. There is a disabled toilet adjacent to the room the event is being held in\, plenty of parking available\, and free tea and coffee of course!
