DESCRIPTION:A new Ecological Management Plan for the University of York campus is under development\, with the aim of delivering a nature-positive campus that supports all the members of the university community\, whatever their role\, background or species\, to achieve their full potential. \nIn this event\, we will share our vision for a nature positive campus\, and provide opportunities to take part in an interactive learning or nature connection experience. \nWe will begin with an update of the progress on our new ecological management plan\, including some of the ideas and suggestions we received from our campus survey. We will then guide participants through a range of activities\, including a tour of the York Experimental Archaeology Research Centre\, and a sensory / mindfulness activity led by Alison Dyke. \nThis event is suitable for ages 8+.

DESCRIPTION:Practical outdoor volunteer sessions in and around York. Our tasks vary from pond building to tree planting. DESCRIPTION:Come and help us to create a wildflower area at the southern end of Millennium Field. We will be planting wildflower plug plants into areas previously prepared\, so the ground should be nice and easy to dig. We will also be chatting about our Green Corridors York project and all about meadows. \nAnyone can get involved\, we will provide gloves and kneelers to those who require them. \nUnder 13s need to be accompanied by an adult and under 16s need parental consent if not accompanied by an adult. \nMeet at Millennium Bridge on the Fishergate side of the river.
