DESCRIPTION:A new Ecological Management Plan for the University of York campus is under development\, with the aim of delivering a nature-positive campus that supports all the members of the university community\, whatever their role\, background or species\, to achieve their full potential. \nIn this event\, we will share our vision for a nature positive campus\, and provide opportunities to take part in an interactive learning or nature connection experience. \nWe will begin with an update of the progress on our new ecological management plan\, including some of the ideas and suggestions we received from our campus survey. We will then guide participants through a range of activities\, including a tour of the York Experimental Archaeology Research Centre\, and a sensory / mindfulness activity led by Alison Dyke. \nThis event is suitable for ages 8+.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by and adult. \nMeet on the hard standing in front of the entrance to the Yorkshire Museum. The tour will take an accessible route around the Museum Gardens. \nYork Museums Trust opens York Museum Gardens free of charge for all to enjoy.
